yeah on the standardized test aspect of it, you’re looking pretty good

BUT where are your extra curriculars, who will write your rec letters? volunteer hours and work experience..

You might get in depending on your extra curriculars, did you do score in the top 10 in any national tests? Did you do anything outside of school that exemplifies your passion for a certain subject? Community service? These are attributes that all ivy league universities look for that makes the application stand out among the rest; good SAT scores and GPA’s are all too common though necessary.

obviously you’re smart enough to do ivy work. a 2330 is a great score. but getting into an ivy is ALOT more than test scores. harvard turns away something like 50% on valedictorians and i think princeton turned away 60% of 2400’s on the SAT just this year. trust me, they’ll lose NO sleep in turning you down if you’re just test scores. you’re gonna need EC’s, essays, and recs to get in.

Yes, you can get it, but will you is an entirely other question.

A previous anwserer mentioned just how freakishly competitvely admission to the top colleges is. There is another article that you should read called “Young, Gifted and NOT getting into Harvard” I read it in Wall Street Journal, but I could not find it on their site when I looked just now.

Keep working on your application and look for ways to show that you are committed to learning and that you would fit in with the student body or school aims of the schools you are applying to.

Outside of that, please know that you are an extraordinary student, whether or not you get into your first choice.

There are hundreds of people who have scores like you. Try to show them how your different in some way. Perhaps a particular talent? A great tragedy you overcame (cancer, pregnancy, ect.)? Try to give them something that differs you from those guys who score perfect on the SAT’s who only watch 2 hours of television a year.

Your scores are good enough, but how does your transcript and workload compare? Also, ec’s, recommendations, and the essays are what count in this, since pretty much everyone has high scores like those.
