Determination VS Ability?

I have been told that not everyone is capable of performing exceptionally well.Apparently some students are ‘gifted’ in academics e.g maths and sciences(tough subjects) while other are either not gifted or they just have average intelligence. Is it possible for an average student through sheer determination to achieve as the so called gifted people i.e straight A’s. Could i please have brutal honesty answers.i want to know the truth.Thanking everyone in advance.

Sure it’s possible. They just have to work harder than those with more “ability” to achieve the same goal.

I consider determination an ability.

If you can ‘stick at it’ you can AND will achieve.

I’m lucky because numbers just seem to make sense in my head and I do maths far above my age, but in other subjects (to put it knidly) I stink so I’m trying hard to improve there but I know I will improve if I stick at it.

Another thing…Those kids who do get straight A’s. They may say they do no study. WRONG. They do, they spend twice as long on their homework/assignments so they get the marks from hard work.

So don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get awesome grades.
