CPA review course / self-study?

I am looking at Roger Philipp USB course, Gleim self-study package, Kaplan and Yaeger’s self-study and online review course right now. Can someone tell me which one is the best for CPA exam preparation? I plan to take 1 section of the exam in 6 weeks. I heard Becker is great, but it’s too expensive.

I am personally using Becker (although my firm pays for 100% of that). The others that I have heard of as being good are Bisk and Kaplan. I would look for a program with more than just books. The Becker CDs that you watch really help you retain the information that is necessary to pass the exams. Also, make sure they have as many multiple choice questions and simulations as possible. Nothing can prepare you as well as seeing questions over and over.

Good Luck!

I use the Roger CPA Review course and find that his teaching style and the mobile access to his course to be the best fit for me. I have also used the Wiley test bank that came with Roger’s course in 2013, but now that he has his own MCQs I don’t think that’s part of the package. I also spend a lot of time writing notes and rewriting them and then noticing how they look just like the book Roger’s published and included in the course… I suppose you can chalk that up to my learning style though.
