You can’t take the test online (they couldn’t check that it is really you taking it), but you can register for it online. For the SAT go to www.collegeboard.com to register or do a practice test.

It doesn’t matter that you are in homeschool. Just register to take it at the nearest testing center to your house. There will be people there who do not go to that school. (When I took it, I had to go about 20 miles to find the nearest testing center, so I only knew a couple of the people taking it that day.)

Are you looking for practice tests online, or do you want to take the actual test to send to colleges?

There are TONS of practice tests online. However, you CAN’T take the actual test online. The ACT and SAT have very strict guidelines. All tests must be taken at an official testing site. You must register at least a month in advance – usually several months in advance. You must bring the official pass they sent you in the mail to be admitting into the testing rooms. They even monitor how many pencils and what kind of calculator you can take into the test. There’s no way you can take the official ACT/SAT online at home.

I seriously doubt it since these exams are proctored by school staff to prevent cheating. However, check with your local school districts and see if they will allow you to test with other students. There will probably be a fee, of course. You might also check with the local home schooling association.

As far as I know , these tests are admistered in person only at designated dates and places. Tests on line offer too much chance for cheating.
