I think Unclejesse summarizes very well… I would add that a good teacher must be knowledgeable and be able to explain things in many different ways in order to reach most students. A good teacher is also a good listener… Teaching is more than a profession…it is, in many ways, a vocation!

Its hard to do this, but you need to pay attention to every kids learning style. A lot of teachers like to teach the way they understand and most kids just dont get it.
Also treat the kids and teenagers with respect like they were you’re friends also, they’ll respect you more and not be little butts to you, and you might even get a reputation of being the cool teacher at school.
