You can try the following;

1) Draw every structure and every diagram out either on a whiteboard or on a piece of paper

2) Get help from the tutoring center

3) Go to professor’s office hours for additional help

4) Memorize everything, rote memorization

5) Use Mneumonics

6) Go to search engine and fine animation, pictures and diagrams to explain the concepts better

I am from biology background, and i always scored low marks in my chemistry tests. I have tried several ways to cope with it, perhaps you may want to try these out:

Form small discussion group-there must be someone who master chemistry, so that he/she can answer your questions.

Try your best and tried to understand the principle.

Always ask wherever you don’t understand- very effective!
