It matters not what we might accomplish in this life. Over time, our identity and our accomplishments will be shoved aside for the next “flavor of the moment” by the world. Our legacy lies in the love and fond memories of those who care about us. In short, when praised by the world, savor the flavor but don’t choke on it. Humans are fickle and those who praise you for the moment will just as soon turn and rend you. Instead, savor the favor of those who truly know you and love you anyway.
