What does this quote mean?

“”Like the wind crying endlessly through the universe, time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerors and commoners alike. And all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment.””

Basically it’s saying when we die, we are remembered by people who loved us. The first sentence is saying that everyone, well known or not will eventually die. And the second says that what remains after we are dead are the memories that loved ones carry with them.

The praise of the world is fleeting. The praise of our loved ones is not.

It matters not what we might accomplish in this life. Over time, our identity and our accomplishments will be shoved aside for the next “flavor of the moment” by the world. Our legacy lies in the love and fond memories of those who care about us. In short, when praised by the world, savor the flavor but don’t choke on it. Humans are fickle and those who praise you for the moment will just as soon turn and rend you. Instead, savor the favor of those who truly know you and love you anyway.

like….alike—–with time even the greatest of kings and the lowest of people are forgotten-they go with their death.

and…..moment——-and those whom we say live to eternity are the ones who are remembered at one point of time or the other by people whom they loved or people whose lives they have influenced, directly or indirectly,

the other person said it right. its basically saying that everyone dies, and it doesn’t matter who they are, or what they did. It’s all about the memories that are left when we die.
