Gene depends on Finny as his security blanket. When Gene can not take anymore of Finny and his abilities, Gene’s jealousy takes control and he makes Finny fall and injure his leg. During the time after the injury, Gene finds out who he truly is as he begins making decisions on his own. By the end of the novel he no longer sees Finny as a demigod but a normal human being.

The crutches were symbolic of Finny’s disability, his humanity, and his fall from the pedestal to which Gene had elevated him.

I found a quote about the railroad, “Gene, on the war activities around Devon: “Stranded in this mill town railroad yard while the whole world was converging elsewhere, we seemed to be nothing but children playing among heroic men”

i do no longer thoroughly understand the version between a civil union and a marriage. The final time I heard Civil Union defined- i theory that it sounded to me like marriage. I even have consistently nonetheless that Civil unions have been the foot interior the door to get human beings to settle for gay Marriage.
