Fostering a culture of respect. Excellent choice of words. If everyone would show respect, regardless of their feelings toward any person, this WOULD be a much better place. But as you notice, with each “new” generation, the lack of respect for people is mounting with terrifying speed. It starts with the way the parents raise and teach their young. These days, the children themselves are disrespectful of even their parents unless the parents are strict but loving, which is very rare these days in this time of hurry hurry hurry.
It used to be a time when everyone helped everyone raise the kids, but now… if a kid does something wrong, no one outside that family dare to even try to discipline him/her.
Whatever happened to “villiages raising children together”

Maybe until we can respect who we are, where we came from, and live- we really can’t respect others?
