So, “Mrs Whistler always likes to think that people appreciate her a great deal”

“The football teams believed that their uniforms were too gaudy”

1. Mrs whistler is the antecedent [pronoun’s stated person/place or thing.} = substantive

2. Teams is the antecedent’s substantive.
