“What we see depends mainly on what we look for.” — John Lubbock “
Do Not Worry
Luke 12:22–Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27″Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. ”
How could anyone read this and not feel better by being reassured how much God loves each of us? I am praying that you will see things in a different way, knowing that you are important to the Creator. He made you, He loves you, He can change your life into something wonderful for all time!
Overcoming death has to be the most difficult thing that anyone has ever done, and only Jesus has done that. 12 other people that we know about (4 from the Old Testament records and 8 from the New Testament) died, and returned to life. But, they all died again.
When Jesus was crucified on the cross, and died, and was buried for days–a dead man. But he defeated death, returned to life, and lives today. You can’t get more successful than that “pulling a plan or project together.”

We all have times that we are down throughout our lives. We either have to go along with it until it gets better or we can call out to God to help us through this period. If we are at a desperate point; we can ask God to get us through this…and He will.
Last year, I was at a desperate point. I was choking on a piece of steak. The steak was about the size of my little finger and it got stuck at the back of my mouth on its way down. It wouldn’t go down and I couldn’t get it up enough to take it out. I only had a tiny little air hole; it wasn’t enough to take a deep breath. I started panicking. There was nobody here with me. It was about 4 p.m. in the afternoon. I opened the front door and I didn’t see where anybody was home to help me. I couldn’t talk but I was thinking “God, please don’t let my kids find me like this…dead. I tried to get this piece of steak up, I hit my chest, I leaned over to the floor and did everything that I could think of. Finally, it came up in my mouth. You talk about being grateful to God for helping me. I certainly was. I praised Him for the longest time and still do from time to time. I believe that it happened to get my attention. I have been a Christian all of my life but I wasn’t doing anything for God’s work. I was just at a stand still and needed to go forward. This really woke me up for Jesus. I don’t go a day that I don’t read his word urnestly and study what it means to my life. I reach out more to others to see their needs and try to help them with deed or encouragment for them to get their life straight with God. The biggest thing we can do is be right with Jesus. We need to do what it takes to work for His glory and live so we will be spending eternity with Him in heaven. Nothing else matters. Anything else is a waste. Living for Jesus Christ is why we are here. It is His desire for us. After getting ourselves right we can help others do the same. Everything else will fall into place.
I ask you to give Jesus a chance. I know you will find complete happiness and worth for your life. There is help to do this. Just reach out…you will find it. Ask the right people.
