Help with a John Milton Quote Paradice lost for a political Thought Class.?

The follow quote is from John Milton’s Parasice Lost. I need to evaluate it and find a central idea or point of it for my Political Thought class. I am really stump and so have turned to you guys for help. I thank you in advance for your help.

Others apart sat on a Hill retir’d,

In thoughts more elevate, and reason’d high

Of Providence, Foreknowledge, Will and Fate,

Fixt Fate, free will, foreknowledg absolute,

And found no end, in wandring mazes lost.

Of good and evil much they argu’d then,

Of happiness and final misery,

Passion and Apathie, and glory and shame,

Vain wisdom all, and false Philosophie:

Yet with a pleasing sorcerie could charm

Pain for a while or anguish, and excite

Fallacious hope, or arm th’ obdured brest

With stubborn patience as with triple steel

Go back and tell your political thought class teacher, John Milton had no business making any quotes. Here is why and I’ll give it to you in a form of a quote. Inability to communicate with the common, stay silent for all. Sorry no help
