aside from buying second hand books…what ways do you or did you save money at college?

Use less AC to save electricity. Don’t buy any unnecessary things (new expensive clothing). Try to bike so you save gas. When you grocery shop, look for things that are on sale. Don’t eat out so much. Steal your roommates food 🙂 If you can get away with it, don’t buy books and try to survive off lecture notes. Sell your junk…things that you don’t need I mean.

I’m planning on making a planned budget every week. So that I can have enough money for everything that I will need for that week. Also don’t buy things that you’ll later wish you didn’t buy. I’ve been clipping coupons and printing them off the Internet to save me money.

Learn to live on a budget and stick to it.You could always sell things that you dont need. Drink more water instead of soft drinks.Always bring a water container with you from home.Also lunch if you are living at home.It may not be much of a saving but when you add up the costs it does.Try to stay healthy because it means that you dont go to the doctors which costs you moneyEat healthily.Dont buy junk food.

i wish my parents would have opened up a 529 College Savings Plan. When you have a child way later, make sure to do this cuz you just put away a small amount of money per month and it builds. Basically, when your child goes to college, he/she won’t have to worry about pulling loans.

don’t take out any private loans with sallie mae! try to work part time at least. …BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY…DO NOT TAKE OUT PRIVATE LOANS WITH SALLIE MAE.
