It was called “Freedom of Speech” and explored all the aspects of that amendment to the Constitution. The reason? We had an outstanding teacher who made us explore the boundaries of our tolerances. I found out that I wasn’t so happy about free speech when it came to allowing people like the KKK to shout their venom to the world. We also learned that people as a group are inclined to stay quiet about any issue because its “safer”. Freedom of speech is there to allow us to feel safe to speak out and address the wrongs of our society and/or government without fear of prosecution or imprisonment.
