What do you think can happen to a students overall performance if they’re not challenged in school?

I think that when a student is challenged then they will be more occupied towards their school work. Please tell me if you agree and why. Also please leave some resources as to where I can find somethings about this matter.

in my opinion when a student isn’t challenged they tend to get bored with school and not pay attention to it as much as they should. for example i was extremely bored during my high school years in all of my classes due to the fact that i already knew most of the material because it was the same since third grade but the class that i excelled in the most was the automotive program because i didn’t know it all. i actually needed to pay attention and participate in the class to learn about it. but it can’t be too challenging in the same way since if it’s too challenging then some students will have trouble keeping up because they don’t understand something and they will get stuck on that one part and not be able to move on because of it.

i think that if a student isnt challenged at least to some degree they can lose some of their ‘edge’. i say this mainly because it happened to me and ive seen it happen to a few friends. when you then challenge them later theyve lost their edge (maybe some of their ability).

its best to challenge students somehow, even if its just through sports. i think being challenged on all fronts to some degree is the best scenario though.

When I was not challenged enough in school, I completely lost interest in going. It was boring and I felt like I already knew everything so what was really the point of going.

it really all depends on the child, but usualy little homework will decline the grade because it will have a major effect on your grade. Also it prevents watching TV so much and paying less attention towards video games and prepare them for work later on in life where you dont get as many weekends and holidays.

The student will become mediocre. If he is excelling in math but the curriculum can’t match his excellence he will of course go as far as the course of study. Get your child in a pro gram that can challenge him to excel and has curriculum for him to learn more. My siblings and I were schooled for our parents convenience not for our excellence. I wish your child to excel.

They will have a false sense of how much they know. Children who attend schools that do not challenge them or prepare them for college or job face huge obstacles later on.

You get a blue collar workforce.

From a labor standpoint… From the neck down a person is worth minimum wage. From the neck up, a person is worth whatever amount they are willing to work/study to achieve.
