Too hard of classes??

I am going to be a freshman in high school this year and I signed up for the hardest classes possible. I am a very good student, I never got a “B” in all of middle school, but I am still nervous that this work load will be too much with…

-Fall Fastpitch 4 days a week

-Drivers Ed

-Working out 2-3 days a week

-Rec basketball only 2 days a week

-JV Fastpitch Softball every day after school, plus games

-plus homework

I am taking…

1. Honors Spanish 2

2. Honors Geometry

3. Honors English

4. Honors Government and Economics

5. Honors Physical Science

6. Painting (Not really worried about that)

7. Journalism (where I will be one of the only freshman)

WHAT DO YOU THINK??? TOO HARD???

IF YOU NEVER GOT A B YOU’LL BE FINE.

look i know the counselors claim about over working yourself and that you’ll stress out. but me and my friends take all the hard classes and none of us has ever crashed and burned. you’ll be fine. your only problem might be with taking to many AP tests later on in high school cause you kinda have to cram for those.

again you’ll be fine. you might have to study more but it won’t take all afternoon to study.

and if it does get too hard and you slip a little prioritize you extra activities and decide if school is more important than them and drop out of an extra activity.

You’ll be fine!

Honestly, yes, I really think that’s too much for you. Just even taking half honors is going to be pretty hard. Remember, you want to also have FUN in your youth, not just study ALL the time, which is what you’ll be doing with all those honors classes. Trust me, honors classes in high school are generally hard. Why don’t you try taking a few the first year, and then seeing how you do. The next year, you can take more if you do well, or less if you do no so well. Talk to your school counselors about it.. tell them exactly what you just told us, and I seriously think they’ll advise you against taking on such a load. Even the most brilliant person would probably find this a bit too much. Good luck! :o) And remember that there’s nothing wrong with lightening your very heavy load just a bit! :o)

Concentrate on the classes and drop some of the sport. Just keep a couple of the ones you really like most. I think it is so wonderful to see a young person concerned about school! You will have a wonderful future if you keep up your good attitude!

Puh-lease! That’s easy. Besides, Honors classes are weighted, so you could get higher than a 4.0

Too hard?

Considering you’re in school and all, you’ve got nothing better to do.
