Tiger Cub Den ideas???
Favorite Answer
Thank you for stepping forward to take on the Tiger Den. Please don’t sweat the program, as this has been done many, many times before. There are loads of helps for you through the Scouting system, as well as within your own community. Remember, you are leading a small group of first grade boys, so it doesn’t have to be complicated. Your first meeting, you should have a get-2-know each other type of activity, and you can practice the Cub Scout law, handshake, salute, and oath. These will be found in the Tiger handbook and the leader’s handbook. Bring a snack. Recruit a family member from each family to be an assistant and to provide a snack each week. Put your Cubmaster’s phone number on speed dial.
The BSA sells a “meeting in a box” for around $40/month. This might be a good way to go until you get trained. Get training.
Have fun, keep it simple.
