New School Year…?
Serious – Should I just bury myself in books in order to head in the direction of a scholership. And just save friendship and relationships for weekends, and holidays?
Playful – Concentrate, but have fun. You know…the more cliche attitude of an average student at school?
Other – (Post Below)
I am going to concentrate on my grades either way. But I don’t know if I should set my boyfriend aside and bury myself in books, or just go through the motions. Study because I have to sort of thing.
A few more questions:
What should I be sure to have with me?
Should I do anything to get ready for school?
How do I get my mom to buy me new school clothes?
School starts at 7:30. I take an hour to get ready…including the ride there. I want to run in the mornings. What time should I wake up…and is that a good idea?
Any other things you would like to say?

You should have an equal balance of both fun and work. Maybe a little more work if you want A’s and B’s. All work and no play doesn’t bode well for anyone.
Be sure to have your supplies. If I remember, most teachers at that point are still giving you a “what you need for class” list, so follow that. Once you get to college you don’t get that kind of list. ๐
Tell your mom you’ve outgrown or worn through your older clothes. Don’t go crazy, you don’t need a whole new wardrobe – just a few new pieces.
Uh, I would say you need to get up at 6am. How long is your run? I’m assuming “getting ready” includes an after-run shower? If it doesn’t, and your run is over 20 minutes or so, I would wake up at 5:30. You always want to have a little extra time in the morning, never less, so you’re not rushed.
I’m not sure you should get up too early to run–you may have to tale a shower when you get in from running, and that takes time. Plus, ir might be dark when you are out running–this could be dangerous for one girl who’s out alone running. We don’t what you to get kidnapped or anything.
There’s not much that you can do to get ready for school. Other than finishing any summer homework you have.
I don’t know how your Mom to buy you more clothes. Inventory everything you have–if you find you are missing anything that you need, she’ll probably buy it for you. But it will have to be something you NEED, not something you want. But that doesn’t mean that if you need a certain piece of clothing, you cannot buy a cute piece of clothing.
hope i helped and remember be your self and have a fun school year!
