I think High School should be 3 years or less. There is a lot of time wasted in High School on things having to do with entertaining the kids, rather than learning. If you look back in history, the kids that are high school age now were considered adults then, had jobs, were raising families and were responsible, respectable people. There was rarely any crime and juvenile delinquency problems. They were raised to be independent. Now society just stunts their growth and dumbs them down.

I think high school should only be three years and college be only three years too. Education is expensive and there is a lot of time wasted in the senior year of H.S. and the freshman year of college. There could be an optional year between high school and college where students can take 101 type courses to prep for college or vocational courses to prepare them for a job.

i think there should be 5 or more years of highschool definitely. and i also think that they should require you to take a lot more classes even at 4 years. like others have said you waste a long of time senior year, but this would be eliminated. kids in schools are not growing up in highschool, they are not worried about life after they graduate. they do not care. which is why this generation will not be as advanced as others, and soon the Japan and other countries where school is drilled in their heads will surpass us and we will become a third world country.
but thats my opinion 🙂 and im only a sophmore in hs

1. Requirements. the more the state requires, the more time it takes. year round school, *which, in my opinion, will happen* would be the alternative.
2. Education: This sounds funny, but, you would get a better well rounded education. Once the required course are out of the way, you could take courses of interest.
3. Maturation: One more year in high school would be better just to kinda get your feet under you. Truly, an 18 year old isn’t really ready for college. I’m not saying a 19 year old is either, but, 1 more year of high school might not be that bad
