My parents are telling me to go to a science school away from home?

they ALWAYS put so much pressure on me! i mean, it has worked, without their support i could not be the smartest kid in class , stright a’s, honor rolls, its all thx to them. but im going into the 7th grade this year and next year (8th grade)is when we have to fill out admission for high schools. there are three high schools near our town, but my dad wants me to admit into this school called bronx school of science or this other one called ,, well idk. but they’re in new york and only smart kids get into it.

im probably eligible, but i dont want to leave my friends who i have been learning with all my life. i only have one other friend applying for this but that doesnt count bc she lives in NY, all her friends would kill to get in that, and she can still see her friends because she wont be living in the dorms. its sort of a private school i think,,.. and besides, she is one grade ahead of me. i dont even know if shes been accepted.

what should i do? i dont want to dispaoint anyone
