Ah… I just finished 8th grade, meaning finished Junior High. FINALLY!

Heres some tips I’d like to give you:

-Grades truley don’t matter in Middle School. No one cares if you fail a grade in Middle School, not even colledges. Grades are a big deal in high school, though. That doesn’t mean to be dumb though. The only reason you should get good grades in Middle School is to get good habits ๐Ÿ™‚ Thats what I did. Homework will be especially challenging, though. Get into non-procrastinating skills, while you still have the chance.

-Your friends are going to change in ways you never imagined. Be prepared. You will probably change a bit, yourself. Remember: keep it real, and have friends that are real. At times you are going to feel very lonley, and that you have no true friends. But don’t worry, it happens to everyone.

-Drama, drama, drama! It’s annoying, but its gonna be there wherever you go. Don’t get wrapped up in it, because who the f*ck cares that Allison is going out with Justin, or that Sierra is wearing a fake designer jacket? Popularity becomes a big thing in Middle School, where its hard to find people who are real. Don’t sell yourself out to be popular, after all, who likes people who are fake?

-Lots of cute boys. If your kinda shy around the guys, don’t worry. I am too. But it doesnt really matter, because boyfriends shouldnt be the goal. Its not like your gonna meet your soulmate in Middle School, and the since the guys are sort of at the state of maturing (haha those slowpokes), all they’ll want is your body. They take up too much time and money anyway. I made it through without one boyfriend. (Except one guy I dumped the next day he asked me out, because I didnt want to waste my valuable time on him). Guys shouldnt get in the way of finding out who you are and what you want to do with your life. Save all those cuties for High School, where they’ll be even hotter.

-Dress how you want. If you want to dress cute and wear makeup because you like it, by all means, go for it. If you like wearing black a lot because you like it, go ahead. If you like somewhat baggy clothes because you like it and its comfy and all, wear baggy clothes. Your style becomes very important because it (should) reflects who you are. People are also gonna judge you on how you dress, so keep that in mind. But dont sell yourself out. Dont wear cute clothes and makeup because of a certain guy, or anything like that.

I have another secret that not a lot of people know. I’m glad I figured it out, and wished I had sooner. So far, I have only met one person who also knows this. This will help you wonders socially. It gives you an advantange over every encounter and conversation you will ever have. I dont want to post it, because other people will read it and learn it. I want to tell you, though. If you are interested in finding out, email me.

Honestly your school should have an adviser for just this very thing. Ask your teachers I dont think the budget cuts have gotten to them yet. The question is, is your GPA high enough for you to graduate? If not, summer school! Likely there are only a limited amout of courses you can take during summer school so ask your advisers about taking community college classes while you are in High School for High School credit. They can really lay out a plan for you they are there to help. But you really have to consider your priorities because if your GPA is that low you may have missed some of the basics that you need to survive even in community college. Your education could REALLY be hurting with no chance of recovery, without serious commitment which means education has to come before hockey. Take it from someone that has not been in High school for a while and understands what unemployment rising, and the cost of living rising means for kids who will be graduating, its bad news. Well good luck.

Thats interesting. I’m going to 7th grade also on august 27th. Like 1 month ago, I was worrying about middle school. I wondered if I was gonna have the same friends, and how much homework there will be. Once I looked at the school website and visited the school, I realized it could be fun. Joining clubs, going to the dances, and meeting new friends is gonna be the bomb. Just wait. Your gonna have the time of your life i bet. Good luck next month.I hope you have tons of fun!! I know I am!!

Oh boy. Drama is the order of the day and relationships rarely last more than one day. It is distressingly easy to pass the classes compared to High School. Keep busy with school work, keep your head down and everything will be fine.

Be confident. If you don’t feel confident, just ACT confident – but cool…not cocky. Be kind to all the kids that are not the most popular or best looking or are not able to afford nice clothes. No matter how you feel, don’t give in to peer pressure. If you don’t feel comfortable doing something, don’t do it. Respect others, and you will be respected. You’ll love it !

Stay away from catty girls, who will talk behind your back. Try to make friends with good genuine people, maybe boys as they can be more likely to be a good friend at that age. Good luck, you’ll be fine! ๐Ÿ™‚
