In my school you get a detention for not having your book…?
In my school you get a detention for not having your book, i packed my books, but i lost it at school and i got a detention- do you think this is fair?

It may not be fair, but life isn’t fair, so get used to it. In the real world, misplacing a book your employer gave you could mean losing your job. And your boss won’t care how or where you lost it, he/she will only care about the fact that you weren’t diligent enough to keep track of it. This is what life is like as you become an adult, so count is as a lesson learned and don’t make the same mistake again.

This is definitely not fair. In my school you get detention if you forget your book 3 times. Make sure you always bring your books!!!!

It’s fair, especially if you were already aware of the rule. It may be harsh, probably more harsh than I would run my own classroom, but as people have pointed out, it’s part of life. You have to be responsible for possessions, especially ones that don’t actually belong to you, and losing your book at school is even worse than forgetting it at home because you were especially careless with it. The detention may make you angry, and that’s fine, but it’s a fair punishment and one that will probably make you keep better track of your school books.

You’ll have to pay for the lost book anyway.
I don’t think its fair to get a detention but since you lost it, you’re going everyday to class without a book to study or do your homework in…..

at my school you could get kicked out (of class) if you have a rough teacher. Usually everyone is pretty okay with it, you just HAVE to pay for the book. No one has ever gotten detention though. That’s crazy.

No thats messed up because things happen everyone forget things once in a while. How are you going to remember your book everyday for 9 months in a row. You seriously need to tell your parents to transfer you to another school because that is rediculous. TRANSFER NOW.
