Im nervous because I missed ninth grade orientation?

I didnt even know that I missed it until I got a letter in the mail today. It was on Thursday the 23rd. It was for parents and for students. It was only 3 hours long.

According to the letter: They were going to hand out schedules. They were going to introduce principals, and ninth grade teachers. And then have a meeting with the teachers. Then have a tour of the building and check out books. I e-mailed the assistant principal asking if I can pick up my schedule and have my brother (whos going to be a senior there) take me on a tour to show me where my classes are at. Do you think she will let me? The schedules they handed out were “tentative” class schedules. I’m not sure lol.

I think everyone mightve got the letter late too. Or some people. I live like 3 blocks from the school so I dont see how anyone else couldve got it.

HELP!! lol

Relax! I’m sure they will have no problem letting you pick up your schedule and books. And don’t worry about the tour. Just get a map of the school and study it and you will be fine. Plus, everybody is easy of freshmen the first few days so it’s ok if you do happen to get lost. You have an advantage already because your brother will be there to help. I missed my orientation and started school 3 weeks late so I was lost, but I got it on my second day. Good luck!

Why are you worried for? You can always pick up your schedule another day, and you don’t really need a tour. The best excuse to use on the first day is “I got lost”… that is unless your school only has ten classrooms, because that would just be kinda sad that you got lost.

Besides, just think of all the people who are on vacation. You probably don’t see them worrying about missing orientation.

Nahh theres nothing to be worried about.Honestly, those orientations dont make a big difference..just go to your school, make up some excuse(or get your parents to) and you’ll be fine.

My school didn’t even have an orientation and it was fine settling into high school : )

extra advantageous to be risk-free than sorry. call your college’s administration place of work throughout commonplace college hours, tell them what you observed on the internet, and ask in case you had missed something. if so, ask if your brother can get your schedule, tutor you around, etc. The “no cutting-edge activities” could have meant that none have been scheduled for that distinctive timeframe–fantastically if it became after 8 pm while your Dad observed as.
