Relax and breathe.

There’s nothing wrong with feeling nervous unless u stutter because of it, however, maybe u can review well your speech and memorize and understand it even when ur asleep.

Practice a lot- and everywhere. U can practice in ur room, in the C.R., while cooking, while listening to music, or on a public transpo. This way, u can be ready for any distractions that may keep u from remembering or completing ur speech.

Finally, look and feel confident. Give urself a pat on the back for preparing and planning well for that speech. Relate to your audience as if being natural in ur speech.

Good luck!

Even well seasoned speakers get nervous before a crowd. What helps me is to make 3×5 cards of each topic. Know your topics and be prepared. Be confident. Look your best.

Think about this before you get up there to speak. You are looking at 10, 50, 100, or 1,000’s of people, but they are looking at just one of you. Think about this concept. Don’t focus on how many people are out there that you are speaking to. Focus on the fact that they are looking at just one of you. Think about how you think and feel if you are sitting in an audience and someone else is speaking. It’s no big deal. This has made it much easier for me to get up in front of a crowd and speak on any topic.

Hope this helps. Take care.

The more you do it the less nervous you will be. Practice will give you confidence and it will show during your speech. Also, don’t look directly at the people, look right above their heads. Good luck

Just accept that you might make a fool of yourself. If you acknowledge it and accept it no problem.

Otherwise isolate yourself a couple of minutes beforehand and do deep breathing. It’ll calm you down and when you get up to speak find someone you’re comfortable to speak to and focus on them, occasionally looking around – over people’s heads.

Whatever you’re speaking about try to make it something you love. Your passion will show and you won’t be nervous anymore.

Take deeper breaths – slower breathing calms your nerves.

Look towards the back of the audience – you’ll appear to be looking AT them, but will be less nervous.

Know your topic well and practice as much as possible – being prepared gives you confidence.

Remember – you know more about this topic then they do, or THEY’D be the ones speaking on it. Be confident in what you know, and in their readiness to hear it!

I have a great idea to remove your stage fright. Pretend the entire audience is naked. It worked for me!!

Look over everyones head. Ask your M.D. for a months supply of Valium. Don’t give the speech.

Lorazopram! Tee hee, just kidding (not really). Talk to one person. Make eye contact with one person that maybe you know.

Have a drink, just enough to calm nerves, not make you drunk.
