I want to be home schooled? How much it cost?

I hate public school, I’m a junior at high school, its hell. Most of my friends dropped out of school and did drugs, becuase it was to stressedful, I’m scared of that happening to me. I’m comfortable learning at home rather than school, I have good grades, my favorite 6th grade teacher is teaching me if I was home schooled, so my parents don’t pay a penny for home school, my teacher is paying for everything, I feel so depressed at school, I want to make my education not wasted, and it will be fun if I go to school in my PJ’s and have more freetime, I have friends, I go to volleyball practice, so I’m not isolated, my school is the worst, they have fights everyday, stupid arrogant whores, I heard that someone is kidnapped in my school, it isn’t safe for me. I want to have the best education, and be happy for that. My parents said no, what should I do.

I am homeschooled too and I think that is an excellent thing that you want to be homeshooled. It doesn’t cost you a thing is you go with a certain school board.Going with a school board means that you pay for the school books and all at first, but then at the end of the year your school board pays for all the books you bought, and all of your extra-curricular activities. It’s fantastic.Even though the goverment makes you go with a school board to be homeschooled doesnt mean you have to go to a regular school. You do you school at either your house or someone elses house, doesnt matter. The school board I’m with is called School Of Hope.Their great!Anyway here’s their website=School Of Hope Alberta. My mom homeschooles me and my other 4 siblings,so I’ve had lots of experience, plus I’ve been doing it for 4 years now.Good luck, and I think you definiftly made the right choice.Hope I helped! Love ya!

Home schooling costs only the time and energy it takes your parents to do it, apart from materials and books and stuff like that.

It sounds to me like you’re more interested in being privately tutored. THAT would be very expensive indeed. You might want to look into a private school in your area, or even away.

It’s great that you’re so motivated. Can you test out of your final year, and maybe start college early? Is that an option?

Stick to your guns. Ignore everything at school but getting your education. The path of substance abuse is riddled with jails, institutions and death. So be sure and finish school.
