I doubt there is such a link…but there have been millions of people who have survived their first day of sophomore year in high school! Always remember that you are never alone in your worries…many other students are feeling the same way. Someone, everyone has survived and you will too!

Take everything w/ a grain of salt and smile — you’re all in the same boat, it will get better, and it’s not personal. For the most part upper students won’t give a hoot about you (they just like the idea of screwing with the freshmen). If you’re lost or have a question, ask an adult — everyone will be lost on the first day. Take just one note book and folder on the first day — once you meet your teachers you’ll have a better understanding of what supplies you’ll need. The biggest thing is for you to learn to take notes and actually study. Look over your books/ work on your short-hand/ that sort of thing. Find any extra-curricular activity which peeks your interest — they’re the fastest way to find friends. They also make high school worth all the effort.

Sophmore year? Why? Freshman year is worse. Well I started my sophmore year two weeks ago. So far so good. Met alot of cool people, have a hell of a lot of homework, but it’s fine. It’s definately nice to not be the youngest anymore. And you’re treated as more of an equal by like the Juniors and Seniors. Last year they either acted all protective, or teased you so it’s better. Good luck, but I dont know why youre worrying! =)
