I missed 3 days of school. How can I catch up with my homework, notes, projects, and tests?

I’m in 9th grade. I missed Friday, Monday and Tuesday because I’ve had a bad cold. I couldn’t even go to Homecoming on Friday : (

I know I’m going to have a LOT of homework, a LOT of notes to copy, a few projects due and a few projects everyone has already started, and a test or two waiting for me when I get back, which should be tomorrow.

How can I make all that work up without falling behind in my classes because everyday the teachers go over something new and important. Please help. I have so much to do!!!!

Hello, it seems like you need a plan of action.

First, see your teachers before or after class to see the assignments you are missing.

Second, I would put everything aside (like television and free time) to work on your assignments. As soon as you get home from school, work until you get almost everything done. It should take less than four hours.

Third, see when you can make up the tests. Many teachers will let you take tests during lunch, before, or after school.

Fourth, make a check list of all your missing assignments and other work just handed to you.

I’m wondering why someone didn’t give you your assignments while you were sick. Next time, make sure someone like a friend or sibling is willing to get all your work. This way you won’t be as stressed when you feel better.

First, call your classmates to get the homework and notes BEFORE you go back to school, that way the teachers won’t be annoyed with you.

If you don’t understand something then meet with a teacher. Good meeting times are before or after classes.

Just take a deep breath and don’t stay up any later the 10:30 pm doing homework, you’ve just been sick and teachers will understand if you can’t get everything completed on a timely manor.

Good Luck:]

Get the stuff from a friend and make a schedule so you stay organized. Also ask the teacher if she can helpyou understand something that you don’t.

Check with one of your classmates, ask to see his or her notes, and ask for help from the teacher in catching up.
