Why don’t you contact a funeral home and ask them? The funeral homes in your area will have trained morticians. You will be able to ask them questions, find out where they went to school etc. They may also take on interns/part-time students to teach them as well.

Personally, the best way to find out information about a particular profession is to ask the people in the profession.

Your best bet is to get in touch with a large funeral home, like Metropolitan or White Lady, and talk with them about their work, see if you can get involved in some way.

You will want to expose yourself to the industry first– it’s not an easy one. Make sure you really like it before you decide to pursue it!
