It won’t be as hard as you think. The first couple of hours will be strange and maybe at lunch but the feeling of being in school will sink in where ever you are. My suggestion would be to look into joining a club, activity or sports team. To commit one of your electives to a class that has outside of class social commitments such as art classes, choir or drama. Dont’ worry some will be curious about you and be gracious enough to introduce themselves. Just do the same and try to make some small talk. These are the means I used during all of my high school years as I changed from one school to the next (grew up moving regularly-not army brat). It sounds like while your attending a new school you haven’t moved away from your friends so life won’t be all bad regardless. Good luck and don’t worry it will all be good in the end.

A couple years ago, I moved to a new school that was in the same district, but since it was the “rival” school, I new barely anyone. I thought I’d be a loner for like, junior high, high school, and then college, but believe it or not, on that first day of school, I met one of my best friends.

I didn’t join any clubs or sports at all during junior high, but I made new friends by just being in the same classes and having the same lunch period as them and stuff.

As hard as it was, I’m glad I moved, because it gave me the chance to meet new people and make new friends.

Plus, I kept in touch with my elementary school friends by emailing, calling them, and going to like movies and stuff with them.

Most schools probably have many new kids, so you won’t be the only one or anything like that.

I was really shy in the beginning of the year, but after a while, I came out of my shell and made many new friends.

i have the same problem, as im starting a new school on tuesday.

just talk to people, and dont be too nervous.

just go!
