What works for me is going over the material that will be covered in class prior to class starting. That way, when I am in class, I have some idea of what the teacher is talking about, so it’s easier for me to follow his lecture and reinforce what I learned. Try to perceive the lecture as if it is a story and listen to it intentively as if you would when a friend would be telling you something and it will sink in better that way.

Eat light, healthy meals. Don’t gorge before class.
Take notes. Start writing dictation, if you start to zone out.
Find ways to get involved – answer questions, ask questions.

pay attention, pretend what the teacher is saying is interesting, put away things that you could fiddle with. whatever the teacher says, repeat that in your head and make examples and connections to it while still listening, so that you can catch and memorize what is being said.

well its hard but as long as you dont chatter and actually listen u shld be fine. it helps to get ur books out streight away to stay on task n right down notes to keep interseted

if anyone talking with you wait wen the explanation end then you answer him or her
