High School Help?
Favorite Answer
It is good that you want an elective. Taking an elective is certainly better than study hall. If you are stuck with study hall, however, you should use that time wisely to do your work.
The counselors are probably in school on Monday. Go there together with a parent, if possible. Think of the electives that you would like to take. The longer the list the better. Put them in priority order. Sometimes schools have trouble fitting into your program various classes either due to overcrowding in some classes or that some classes may only meet for one or a few periods a day. That is why I suggested a list of electives. I would not give the list to the counselor, but keep it in mind if classes are closed.
At this time of the year there are many class changed. If you cannot get what you want ask your counselor to keep you in mind if other students drop the class the elective that you want or if new sections of the class are created. Try back periodically if you cannot get the class that you want.
Good luck.
