What you will find is that 20 yrs from now your friends wont recognize you and you wont them and rather you run or you dont wont change the speed at which the world turns…. just tell them your heart isnt into it, after all isnt government suppose to be for the people? ( at least that is what they teach) if they are your friends they will understand. If they dont ?????????? im not so sure i would call them friends…. Go do that writting thing you want to do… Only you have to sleep with you and only you looks back at you in the mirror everyday… Your not hurting anyone and it sounds like your interest will better human kind so go for it kiddo and dont let anyone hold you back …

Since you clearly enjoy writing/journalism, run for editor-in-chief and then assign duties to your staff to help you. This will give you time to work on your academics, and allow you to concentrate on graduating with honors. By choosing to run for editor-in-chief, not only will you glean valuable experience but you will also be following your heart. Remember, do what you love and love what you do. Editor-in-chief will look great on both your college application and later your resume. Good luck!

Run for editor-in-chief and select staff members to help you so you will have time for your studies.

This office, in my opinion, can actually be more influential than student council president and will look great on your resume if you take journalism in college.

You need to do what is right and best for you. Don’t worry if people get mad. So what. Will the world end? Will people get over it? You are responsible for yourself and the decisions you make. We all are. If you want to write then I think you should pursue that because that will make you happy. If you run because you don’t want to make people mad or upset, what will be the effect on you? Will you grow resentful or be upset because it’s not your passion?

Your heart is obviously set on writing so go with that. Forget those other people, they’ll get over it. Your studies are also important so go with Editor.

do whatever will help u in the longrun. its sad to say but ur admission to college will likely be based on ur extra curricular activities so do watever u think is best. don’t worry about what others say cuz ultimately, u have to please urself and u don’t want to have n e regrets.
