i was already excited

but knowing other people “survived” made me more excited

lol, this summer is killing me, im seriuosly getting tired of it

CALM DOWN! lol thats the first thing! 1) no one really laughs at your names anymore in high school, and Jorge is pretty popular name, dont worry about it, and if the teacher does mess up just make a joke about it :] dont get imbarassed. 2) I went on open house, and put everything in my locker, so i just took a note book and a folder the saem one to every class, so that avoids rushin to your locker if you dont know where your class is, youll get into the hang of it. 3) Honestly, dude, there will be like 12 other people wearing almost the exact same thing. I never even knew people wore Vans, until i moved to arizona, and everyone had Vans, and skinny jeans, And BACK PACKS! I was like what the hell is going on, no one carries back packs at my old school, i then realized why, you dont get as much passing time, so its just easier! youll look great! 4) sit with some friends, make a friend in the class you have the hour befor lunch and ask to sit with them, most likely theyll be sitting with some more people that you can get to know! And at my school if someone was eatting alone, people invited you over. And im only a junior, and i always see it happen, its happened to me a few times too! 5) remeber be calm, ask questions about anything! Youll learn alot the first day be prepared! good luck :]

Yeah, I’ll start high school on the 20th of august. I should be scared because at my high school, about 20% of the people are cholos. So I’m scared that they will have knives or anything of weapons. Also, I think the upperclassmen will pick on me because I’m a freshmen and barely 5’2”(i’m a little chubby(160LB)) and i’m also terrified that my grades will go down wit all the hard classes I will have like gate english 9 and algebra 2, Biology, Avid, P.E( not so tough), and health course.

You’re only going to get picked on by the upperclassmen if you make yourself stand out as a freshemn. Don’t be obnoxious or really annoying otherwise, people are going to pick on you. If you’re lucky people will think youy’re a junior or sophmore in your freshmen year which happened to me.

yeah I thought the same thing as you did when I started high school and when I finished my first year in high school I never got picked on by any of the upperclassman

ya @ your school there nice t mine the seinors n jrs. have water balloons filled with shaving cream its really funny ever one likes it even some of the freshmen
