Just bring the stuff you need (lunch, books, etc.) and wear what you like to. Be yourself and don’t follow what others are doing/wearing. In high school there usually aren’t a lot of tables (well at my school there arn’t), so I sit with my friends on the fields or on the floor anywhere. Just sit with your friends were there is space. I took Geometry honor and for me it was a bit hard (i blame the teacher), but you will need it later on when in trig (if you go that far), but after that if gets easier (Calculus I & II). Lastly just have fun because your years in high school will be the best years of your life.

If you’ve gotten supply lists for your classes, bring the supplies. If they’re giving you the lists on the first day, bring a pencil or pen, some paper, and a folder so you can write down important stuff and keep the papers they give you nice and pretty. =D

Don’t draw attention to yourself-meaning no dancing, no screaming, no fighting… just act natural. The upperclassmen won’t pay attention to you unless you bother them. Keep this in mind.

If you school is anything like mine, it’s a free for all for tables. You should probably wait for the upperclassmen to claim theirs (could be some kind of hierarchy) to grab yours. But don’t be part of one of those annoying little cliques that take up double the table space that they actually need.

Geometry Honors is pretty easy… I took it last year. You start off by learning about points, lines, and planes, so it’s really easy to start off with. Personally, I was never really challenged.

You should wear the kind of clothes that you like. Your new school probably does have a dress code, but I don’t know how strict it is. You can’t go wrong with jeans, a t-shirt, and some tennis shoes. Personally, I like Wal-Mart. Call me cheap, but paying $75 for a shirt is obscene. But if you wanna shop somewhere else, try to hit the Back To School Sales. J.C. Penney usually has some pretty good deals. Oh, and bring a jacket. Some of your classes can be freezing.

The best advice I can give you is to be yourself and RELAX!!!! It’s not all that bad really. Once you get accustomed to what you’re doing, time really flies. Believe me, it seems like last year I was a freshman but now I’m gonna be a senior. Make sure you do what you want(such as clubs, sports) so that you have no regrets about doing this or that. Try to get involved with as much as possible, it’s a great way to meet people. I’m in marching band + I’ve met lots of fun people there. Make sure you stay on top of your homework. I keep a planner and write what I need to accomplish, it helps a lot! On the first day, wear something comfortable that you won’t hafta worry about how it looks or whatever. Depending on where you live, jeans are always a good option. Stick with your friends but don’t be afraid to branch out and try new things, you never know, you could find a hobby that you enjoy! Best of luck to you!!!

Just relax. High school is amazing. I love it! Middle school is dramatic and annoying, but once you get to high school, it’s baiscally what ever you want to do, do it and have fun. Be friendly, be nice, and be confident. My freshman year (last year) I was soooooooo nervous! I barley knew anybody in my classes. But everybody is nervous. Everybody is scared. You’re all in the same boat. Don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with somebody you don’t know.

Bring a notebook and pens and pencils. The first day, you’ll just find out what is happening. Bring all fees, receipts, etc. If you have an agenda or planner bring that too. If you already have your I.D. bring it.

Work as hard as you can and push yourself to the limit. Don’t be afraid to answer questions and don’t feel bad if you answer them incorrectly. Show the teachers that you deserve to be in their honors classes. Always do homework and don’t procrastinate. Study, don’t cram.

For clothes….see what your friends are wearing. We wear uniforms, but at football games, movies and stuff, the guys usually wore jeans, or athletic shorts or cargo shorts. For shirts, wear somehting thats comfortable that you like. T-shirts, collared shirts, button downs, w/e floats your boat. See where everybody else shops, but find clothes that you like and that you can afford. Find your own style.

Good luck! High school is what you make out of it.

Dude stop freaking out. My first day of high school was two days ago, and it was ten times easier than i thought it would be. I don’t know how they work it where you’re going to but just chill, stick to some of your middle school friends the first period or so and at lunch be bold and sit with some people you might of met in your classes. I have honors courses too but the school has set up a math test you have to ace before you are accepted to the honors math program. Wear something comfortable and clean. Definitely don’t show up in your uniform but don’t go all out and buy really expensive clothes. Besides whose going to be checking the tags of your shirt to see what brand it is? A nice pair of shorts and a polo shirt will work. Go to JC penney’s. Right now most of their stuff is on sale and Walmart is just as good as Abercrombie and Fitch.( Way expensive) So chill, be cool, be friendly and the most important thing you need to remember is:

Breath in, breath out. Breath in, breath out. K?
