Do you think its too much?
This year I am going to be a Sophomore. I’m taking eight classes next year. Two of those eight classes are Ap and honors. On top of that I’m going to be part of the drama club, poetry club and key club (key club does charity work in the community). I also want to get a job since my dad can’t work anymore. Do you think its too much?
Am pretty responsible and am a honor roll student.

i think getting a job would be a bit too much- im gonna be y11 next year (i think thats a sophomore??) i take 9 subjects, and im in the school senior choir and concert band, and all that will probably be pretty hectic once all the gcse mocks and coursework start. I go busking too to get extra money, but only because i have complete control over the hours, so if i have too much schoolwork to do, i just dont go

I’d say the classes are fine, but either the job or the clubs have to go. Other than that good time management skills are what will make you successful in life. If you choose to tackle it all and have to cut back later it’s better than not trying at all.

I think your going over the top if you get a job. Because with 2 AP classes and your activities after school, you probably don’t have time for a job.

Even responsible honor roll students have to sleep sometimes. The job part is what might kill you, as it will take an incredible number of hours.

I think it would be okay if you found a job that was only on weekends. That’s about how much I did last year (junior year) and it was hard but I got through it, and got used to not sleeping as much as I used to.
