hi, i just joined the army two weeks ago. and yes u do need at least a GED to join the army. Therefore, in the army they have a program called GED – PLUS. this program will help you get your GED faster, the fastest will be within two weeks and the most important is that u will get paid being in the program..
here is the procedure that i suggest u to do
1) go to your local recuiter and tell them u want to enroll in GED PLUS
2)finish the program and get your GED
3)then u could start taking the asvab test and physical test

Yes you need either the diploma or GED. Contact your local recruiter office and they can help you set up anything needed. If you don’t know where to find you local at go to www.army.com, www.navy.com..etc…
