First of all, it aims to make you organize your thoughts and put hem well on paper, make you an ideal citizen (knowing his rights and duties) and, of course, an international student who can express him/herself in every condition. it allows you to ask interesting and sometimes meaningless questions in TOK (Theory Of Knowledge) lessons (TOK is the heart of IB.) Also you learn how to participate in non-class places in CAS (Creativity-Active-Service). You are right, it is extremely challenging and hard; but in the end, when you take your diploma, you see that you have obtained many characteristics from it: you know how to write a proper essay, how to leadership, how to think about questions like “What is the meaning of life?”, etc.

its good and works best if your looking forward to study at international levels aka universities…

cos some of the domestic universities like in india donot accept IB DIPLOMA STUDENTS.like delhi university etc.

other than that it requires lots of hardwork to excel in any

IB DIPLOMA SCHOOL…….and a well recognized school

is also a mandatory if u wanna excel in this IB STUFF……

personally i was looking forward to it a point of time…….too

for IB you should have some exclusivity in urself………………

something which defines you apart from other pupils………..

Oh the bac. I studied in france for three years and took it, i dont remeber much anymore except that it took everyone at my school atleast two times to pass/

im starting this year. i know that doesnt really answer your question but i was reading the other answers. im excited and think that it will be a challenge but worth it in the end, and will raise my chances of getting into ive league schools.
