any word that is written together in print is still written together in cursive same rules apply. some people will separate with a dash so its more legible because cursive starts to look illegible when its all mashed together

They are compound words and are meant to be written as you’ve typed them.
I guess when some people are writing in cursive they do a ‘pen lift’ and stop joining for longer words. Or maybe they don’t know how to make the join. Eg: from the d to q in headquarters.
They should be written as one word. No pen lift.

i think you’re supposed to write it as its meant, or as you spell it which would be altogether, even though in cursive i’ve seen a lot of people seperate them because it doesnt look as jumbled, as most cursive writing does

You write them just as they are typed. They are compound words and are meant to stay together.

You should not. Though they are compound words, they are still one word and should be linked like other words.
