Children should not wear uniforms to school because it stifles their creative expression, removes their opportunity to suppress others and promote class envy, and promotes the profiteering of businesses who find willing and gullible consumers for overpriced low quality products.

When children are forced to wear uniforms, they end up having to appreciate each other for whom they are and not what they are wearing. Girls are unable to easily use their sexuality to seduce and manipulate boys, depriving boys of the opportunities to gaze at growing cleavage, pierced bellies, and sultry curves. And boys are unable to cultivate their slovenly appearance and the lazy, uncultured, impolite attitudes that girls come to admire.

All in all, uniforms have consistenly been shown to simply serve to encourage polite, well behaved and well mannered children and create a level playing field where everyone learns to respect each other as equals. But this is always a bad thing and runs contrary to the principles of chaos, arrogance, and disrespect that are so treasured by our society.

My district is going to a uniform this school year and there are two ways to look at it. On the surface, I agree with the uniform policy. The reason that we had to go to the uniform policy is because a)teachers weren’t enforcing the dress code and b) parents were letting their kids wear whatever they wanted regardless of the dress code. What I figure will happen is that we weill have the uniforms for a couple of years, and then we will go back to the dress code with the threat of returning to the uniform. Parents will find it easier to follow the dress code than they will the uniform.

ll_jenny_ll here AND I’M BAC
I’m with everybody who said that they like uniforms …

Uniforms takes the fashion stakes out of school , poorer kids don;t have to compete ( and be made to feel bad) with wealthier kids who can afford new clothes all the time….

and for the crappola about suffocating their Individual Expressions .. COME ON !!! That’s what the hours AFTER school and the weekend is all about ….

if we are to be a part of a well oiled society … there are times our **INDIVIDUAL EXPRESSIONS** should be placed asided and we work in a team FOR a team.

I am not against kids expressing themselves BUT school is a time when they should be concentrating on the lessons being taught AND NOT who has the zanniest out-fit

EDIT: Missdeviance (sp) appologies to you I misread your reply ( was rushing ) ….

Are you asking me to agree with this statement. Well, i dont agree with it. I think all scholl’s should inist on children wearing a school uniform. They look smart and secondly, if a child went mising on a trip, then that child would easily be returned to the school where it comes from, because the school uniform will indicate this.

I think school uniforms have their benefits, and they look very smart as well.

I agree with pixiebell plus the uniform code discourages fashion discord among peer groups and eliminates gang related incidences where colors play role in gang affiliation.

I believe children should where uniforms so all kids are alike. Also I believe the government should regulate how we spend our money, what kind of cars we drive, what kind of music we listen to, the government should also be in control of who we marry, who we talk to……………..Slave shops thats where we should all work! And we should NOT be given cars to drive or our own houses to live in……….Heil Hitler!!!

I think that they shouldn’t have uniforms, but they should enforce the dress code better.

because now and days its an insult to the parents

oh you cant dress your kid, oh your kid looks dirty, oh your kid doesnt look smart, or your kid looks like a thug, oh your kid looks like a geek, oh we dont want that kinda exposure.

I think a dresscode is cool, but a lot of kids dont like it.

But remember this its not how you dress, its how you learn. you see what im saying.
