study and repeat things over and over.
Studying before bed can actually make you remember things better, but make sure you study other times….not JUST before bed!
Try to go over what you learned every day and taking good notes can help too! and also make sure you pay attention in class because just taking notes might not stick in your brain as easily.

I did know, but I forgot. Just kidding, bad memory joke. I am a fan of making things like flash cards. Write historical events or whatever it is you need to remember on little 3 x 5 index cards and carry around with you and whenever you get a chance, read them – but you gotta make an effort to go over each card multiple times. If you need to remember things in chronological order, try putting years in form of phone numbers or making a sentence using key words in order to help prompt you. Hope this helps.

I heard this from a friend, and have not tried it yet. Supposedly if you eat 16 saltine crackers before a test you do better. Also if you chew gum while you are studying and chew the same kind during the test, you do better.

Try and make up rhymes to remember dates with events, for example remember remember the 5th of november (you may not know who Guy Fawkes is if your not in the UK). Its easier to remember songs and rhymes.
