A levels – should i switch to german?

I;m having second thoughts about one of my a level options. i was initially confused as to whether to choose history or german and chose history in the end. But many people have told me german is much more useful and is more valuable when applying to universities. Someone even told me it doesn’t really matter what grade u achieve – universities will still look at it highly. I got A* in both subjects at GCSE but feel slightly more confident in history. I reckon that i will probably get an A/B A level grade in history but if i do german may have 2 settle with a B/C grade. Which should i do? I enjoy them both equally, hence the difficulty in choosing. I just want to do the one that looks best on a UCAS form. I have about 2 days to change my subject.

Thanks for any advice

I think you should do german… i do german AS level and I’m told its really valuable because there are so few german students (lol there’s 4 in our class!) that there is a demand for us…it’s reasonably easy as well, not much of a step up from GCSE…. good luck whatever you choose.
