Water pollution…. the bad and the ugly????
How can I demonstrate the negative effects of water pollution?
Or how can show my students how to clean an oil spill?

Here you go! There are several resources for teachers, the problem is finding them! I’m not sure how old your students are either, hence the generic sites!

As for the oil spill, you can’t really clean it up very well. The only thing that I’ve seen to help disperse it (which in a natural environment, is NOT what you want to do) is to put oil on some water, then drop a bit of soap. Unfortunately soap is fairly toxic to aquatic life too… No good in the real world…
