Is it right this lyric im doing?
If i want to say “Put someone sad” can i say “Tear someone to the blues”?
Im sure about “the blues” but im not sure if “tear”, as a verb, can mean something like “lead”

I think you could use it. It may not be grammatically proper, but it makes a sweet song or poetry lyric. Like your tearing someone apart or open to the point of them getting the blues. I like it!
