Would you want to relive your high school years?

I went to a private school and there was only 300 -350 students in the entire school. I went to private school from 3 grade to 12th grade. I miss the buying your lunch at school and the bigger atmosphere.

Overall I’d say yes. There are a lot of things I miss, even if back then I said I hated them with a passion. I miss having a different sort of structure to my day; no real responsibilities other than schoolwork, weekends, holidays, and summers off. I probably would have done a lot of things differently too; I might have been more sociable, more outgoing, perhaps a little less timid with girls.

Sure, there’s the whole not being able to do the things I can now because I’m older, and stuff like that; there’s a limit as to what sort of jobs I could really go for being in school and all, and then there’s always being looked down upon because I’m well, not an adult.

Same thing with college, I suppose. Then again, I sort of notice that with life; I complained about HS when I was in it, but then wished I was back there when I got to college. I complained about college when I was in it and wished I could go back when I graduated; undergrad and grad school.

I suppose the real world has its perks; job, higher earning capacity, and all the adult things as kids we looked upon. However, it’s still relatively few and far between that I ever feel I can actually BE a kid again. Granted, I’m only going to be 29 in a couple weeks, and probably am a kid to most that might be reading this. However, I firmly believe there’s a difference between acting like a kid, feeling like a kid, and actually BEING a kid again.

So yes, yes I WOULD relive my HS years, if nothing just for curiosity as how I would do and change things.

I wouldn’t go back. Even if I knew what I know now (I’m 29), the other kids wouldn’t be so mature, so you’d feel like a babysitter all the time and they’d think you were weird. If I didn’t know what I know now, I’d have to relive all the immature relationships and bad friend breakups and other drama. I’m much happier being an adult!

good lord NO!

high school…was well – high school. i went to a small public school – less then 180 per grade. the same people i went to kindergarten with, i graduated with. clicks, mob rule and evil insecurse kids who think ridicule is the way to gain strength and popularity.

college was better.

and real life – adult life – its even better.

there is not enough money in the world to get me to go back to high school. i skipped my 10 year reunion. and hope the don’t try to track me down for the 20 year.

Definitely, if it was The School Of Rock. How’s Dewey Finn, doing today, still sticking it, to the Man.

There are parts of it that I miss. Such as the hanging out with friends. Yearbook, Photography. There are other parts that I would LOVE to forget.

No, I wouldn’t want to be back there, but I do miss those years. The time with my family.

Only if I knew what I know today, But, then, thats the dilema: I could not know what I know today, had I not experienced the problems I had in high school.

I wouldn’t, but if I were forced to, I’d care less about what other people thought and would have paid closer attention in class. 🙂
