Why is no one doing anything about males falling behind in education?

Girls beat boys in almost every subject in high school. Women make up 57% of college students. Despite these facts why is no one doing anything to help men and boys?

People in charge have forgotten the basis of their training. That is why years ago there were separate schools for males and females. The teaching process is different for each sex.

Females can be taught in large chunks because they have a longer attention span than males. If teachers of males make the lessons interesting and in suitable chunks for the time your average male is prepared to be spellbound by this amazing information, they would never get behind. They would be intersted and learn. What goes in as interesting, stays in!

Women make up slightly over 50% of the population. Why is it a bad thing that they make up over slightly 50% of the college population as well?

As for pre-college education, even a rudimentary google search turns up tons of news articles on this “widening gap,” with researchers scrambling to figure out what’s going on and what we can do to stop it.

How is that “no one doing anything to help men and boys”?

Maybe you should join some local feminist groups to see what you can do to help the situation. Good luck!

They got to help themselves and think more pratically about their future. All male and female students are given an equal chance to go to school and learn.

I personally think it’s the use of electronics such as cell phones, Ipods, texting, and so on that is luring all kids concentration away from a good education.

In my day, we didn’t have a calculator to use in class. It was called “2 + 2 = 4” and all done in the head.

I don’t know about the rest of the world but I do know that in Australia we have whats called the Boys Education Lighthouse Project

“The Boys’ Education Lighthouse Schools (BELS) programme was a school-based approach to developing and testing the effectiveness of strategies for improving learning outcomes for boys.”

my old high-school is involved in this programme, (St Andrews College, Marayong, for those who have girls and boys who need a good High-school, it got me into University!)

you should petition your local government or the school boards if your that worried however…
