because the educational system is more interested in teaching TO the lowest common denominator, instead of teaching kids what the lowest common denominator IS.

The question was 1/5th of Americans — not 5% of Americans (1/5th is 20%). What is wrong with the education system in the U.S.???
We really need to stop the war in Iraq and start funding more education by voting for Kucinich for president. He intends to cut the bloated pentagon budget by 15% to increase funding for education — we clearly need it!!!
