When grading something ( A, B, C, B+, etc. what do they convert to number wise?

My school uses numbers and I want to see what they would be if we used letters

If you’re talking about GPA

A=4 pts

B=3 pts

C=2 pts

D=1pts

F=0pts

+ or – grades fall at + or – .5

If you’re talking about individual classes, it really depends on the teacher. Some teachers grade on a bell curve, so the number is arbirtrary to where the class curve falls.

Others grade by percentage, such as:

A=90%

B=80%

C=70%

D=60%

below 60%=F

As you can see above, it’s all arbitrary. Grades are actually a useless way of describing what people know.

A graduated license is much surer.

Do you mean a GPA scale?

A = 4.0

B = 3.0

C = 2.0

D = 1.0

F = < 0.5 or A+ = 4.0 A = 3.5 - 3.9 A- 3.0 - 3.4 etc.
