When exactly do I need to turn in the prospective paperwork listed on the Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. website?

I am a bit confused from the wording on the Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc. website. Should all the paperwork be turned in at the interest meeting or will an exact time be given at the meeting? The website says at Rush…but the word “Rush” is throwing me off!

I am not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha but I do know that the information you need to know will be disclosed to you before Rush. Flyer’s are posted around your campus informing you the day, time and what you need to bring to Rush. This is how it was conducted at my former school. It may be different at your institution so be on the lookout for flyer’s. Rush is where you will submit your paperwork such as transcripts, community service evidence and letters of intent. Good Luck.

Rush is the interest meeting. You do not have submit paperwork at time but if you are interested in doing so you may. You can also go to rush just ot gather information. If you are interested in joing you need to take the paperwork with you at “rush” because it is not something that can be done quickly and you need plenty of time to do it before hand. Rush is a part of membership intake so Im not sure why the word is throwing you off but it is accurate. Membership intake encompasses much much than rush alone maybe thats why you arent understanding… either way… good luck hope this helps

I don’t know how AKA does it. Delta Chi is not part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council & I know they do things differently.

Since you are unsure I would just prepare all the paperwork & carry it to intrest meeting in an envelope (unsealed). That way you are covered either way.

Good luck with rush.
