Ahh, my favorite question. Well, I messed up my freshman year and boy, I wish I have done so many things. Ok,ok to get to the point..

First, if your grades arn’t that to savvy, join as many clubs as possible. Colleges see that clubs are extra curricular activities and it tells them that you aren’t sitting home playing games all day after school. Other than clubs, go volunteer and places or work. Volunteering is great for your apps for college.

If you can and have the passion to study hard, get into all honors courses. It can be very very time consuming, but it is possible if you really really study hard.

Sports, do sports that you are fond of. If you don’t like touching people, then I’d advise you to not take wrestling. 😛

Hang out with the right crowd (not the sluts, extreme geeks, and the non conformist emo kids) Just go up to some normal kids and be like “sup”

Remember that high school is much more serious than you will ever experience compare to elementary/middle school. All your effort in high school will determine which college you will go to. In addition, try a extra curriculum like sports: basketball, tennis, badminton, etc. But most importantly, don’t just play video games or watch TV wasting your summer, at least read as many book as you can! Freshman year might take a while for you to get used to it but if you have a lot of friends, you will be fine.

Good Luck!

Act like yourself. The reason that people tend to hate freshmen is because they think they’re all that and get cocky, or otherwise can’t handle being mature.

Be yourself. Don’t try to hard to fit in. Find other people with the same interests that you do. Join some clubs.

Good Luck!

Don’t stress! Today was my first day as a HS freshman, and it wasn’t that bad. Don’t draw to much attention to yourself, upper classmen might not like that. Be yourself, relax, and don’t be afraid to ask any questions.
