Do you mean emo? Emo is an abbreviation of “emotional” and is a term often used by teenagers and can refer to and broad range of different styles of emotionally-charged punk rock. The usually wear their hair dark and covering 3/4 of the face, with dark eye shadow and fashions similar to goth (although you don’t want to mix them up).

If you do a google search on the term you can find a large variety of websites, including some written by teenagers, although some may be biased as this ‘dictionary’ example shows:
